FLEAS & TICKS
Fleas and ticks are external parasites that live on the skin and feed on the blood of their host, fleas and ticks have unique adaptations that make them well suited to finding and feeding on mammals to survive.
- Fleas were responsible for million of deaths in humans as they transmitted the bubonic plague
- Ticks are not as noticeable as fleas but they are known to carry very serious diseases such as Lyme disease and cause “tick paralysis” in animals
Flea treatments are often a requirement of an end of lease agreement.
